Group Rides & Events

All rides are "Weather Permitting" - Call first to make sure ride is going out.

Tuesday nights
Training Ride to Belvidere, NJ.  Details are as follows:

Start Time / Place:  Cycle Funattic shop.  Be ready to leave at 6:00 pm

Total Distance:  34 miles round-trip

 Total Duration:  Approx. 2 hours total overall roundtrip.  This is a fast-paced ride!! (return to bike shop around 8:00pm)

Terrain:  Paved street & public roads with varying elevation changes.

Equipment:  Headlight on days that it's dark by 8:30pm, in addition to the normal cycling gear (helmet, gloves, water bottle, repair kit...)

Friday nights
Sand Island Ride.  Details are as follows:

Start Time / Place:  Cycle Funattic shop; be ready to leave at 7:00 pm
Alternate start place is Riverview Park at the south end of 25th Street in Easton.

Total Distance:  28 miles round-trip (20 if starting at the park in Easton)

Total Duration:  Approx. 3 to 3.5 hours total overall roundtrip, including rest stops

Terrain:  Mostly rail-trail except short sections of road in from shop to free bridge to Easton and in Bethlehem to the "Confetti" Ice Cream Shop.  Generally flat to sloping terrain with a limited am't of uphill grade (1/4 mile) encountered in Bethlehem & on return trip between free bridge & bike shop.

Ride Feature:  Ride stops at turnaround point in Bethlehem for complementary ice cream & coffee break (courtesy of Russ & Linda!)

Equipment:  Headlight is strongly suggested, in addition to the normal cycling gear (helmet, gloves, water bottle, repair kit...)

Sunday mornings
Milford Ride.  Details are as follows:

Start Time / Place:  Cyclefunattic shop; be ready to leave at 9:00 am

Total Distance:  35 miles round-trip

Total Duration:  About 2 hours riding with a stop for coffee, donuts, muffins, etc. at the Milford bakery.

Terrain:  Paved street & public roads with varying elevation changes.  Goes to Milford bakery for coffee, etc.  This is a fast-paced "A" ride.

Equipment:  Normal cycling gear (helmet, gloves, water bottle, repair kit...)

Bad-Weather Alternative: If the weather is bad, we may do indoor training at the shop.  Bring your own trainer.
